On our first full day in Disney we went to breakfast with Pooh and his friends...Matthew was wearing a shirt that said "Pooh is my homeboy" compliments of his Auntie Gaby and Auncle Aaron.

Halloween 2009

We went to a church festival on Halloween evening and it was a lot of fun! They had a bouncy castle that Hailey LOVED and lots of games inside. When it was dark we decided to take her trick or treating for a little bit around the neighborhood and she was a natural. Of course people gave her extra candy because she is so stinkin' cute! Scary thing was, as soon as people would open the door she would try to walk right in. Matthew slept through her trick or treating experience but people enjoyed seeing Nemo and Squirt together as duo.

Happy Birthday Love! 34 years old today...wow! The best part about your birthday is that we are actually together as a family! This is the first time in many years that we've actually been together for your special day and I pray you have an awesome day!

In honor of Jay's birthday, Matthew wanted to give daddy an extra special birthday gift by...(drum roll please!)...SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT! That's right folks, it has finally happened...Matthew slept though the night last night! 10 full hours of blissful sleep! I'm just praying that it continues especially when we head to Mom and Dad's next week. We are off to California (well I guess I should say that we means Hailey, Matthew and I) to go visit the fam for 2 weeks. I'm dreading traveling with two kids by myself across country, but seeing my fam is going to be well worth the drama! While we are there I'll be doing the Susan G. Komen 3 Day Breast Cancer walk with my mom and godmother Loni so pray for us! 60 miles seems like an eternity when you have just had a baby and trying to coordinate meet up places to feed the little man!

Ballet in the Zoo

Last week we went to the zoo for Ballet in the park! They did a tribute to Americans who died during the 9/11 terrorist attacks and it was so beautiful. We brought a picnic dinner and Hailey even rode the train with Jay! It was such a fun evening out with the family.

We went to the Montgomery zoo last week with our friends Jen (not seen in the picture) and little Mary! Hailey loves Mary...and of course she had to point everything out to Mary and Matthew that she found interesting.
Her favorite animal right now is the elephant! She does the cutest impersonation of an elephant and sings the elephant song from "The Jungle Book"...

Hailey was desperately scared of this cougar...and it was a good thing there were bars between us because he was out on the prowl. The day was overcast and cooler than most for Alabama standards, and I've never seen zoo animals come this close before...it was awesome!

Hailey finished her first full week of gymnastics this past week and she had a blast! She is already doing somersaults in the front room and working on her push ups! After each class, the teachers put stamps on their feet to reward them for a job well done.

Tonight Matthew and I went to dinner with the spouses from Jay's flight and when we came home Jay and Matthew had some bonding time watching football. Now for those of you who have been to our house, you know that we still watch TV on the 25 inch television my parents bought me while I was at the Academy. You would think that with the switch to digital we would have purchased a new television (preferably a 40 inch flat screen...hint! hint!), but nooooooo...if anything is going to change Jay's mind, I'm hoping its watching his beloved Broncos on an itty bitty screen...maybe there is hope yet before football season is over (o: A girl can dream...Aren't my men adorable?!

En Fuego 2009

On Saturday we decided to go to "En Fuego 2009" in Verbena, Alabama. En Fuego is a one day Christian festival that is attended by over 20,000 people for the sole purpose of praising God! It was an awesome experience to see so many people in one place who love the Lord (o: We wanted to see the group Superchick perform and it was well worth the drive. Many people have called En Fuego the Christian Woodstock of our Generation with all of the different performances by various Christian artists.

Hailey had a great time...especially when she was in the pack on Jay's back!

A majority of the people at En Fuego were high school and junior high kids so needless to say it was quite an interesting experience

I can't believe our little girl is old enough to start taking gymnastics classes...she started on Thursday and and LOVED it!! This is right up her alley...and mine too! We have finally found something for Hailey to do where she is exhausted after class is over (o: She takes gymnastics classes twice a week for 45 minutes in Montgomery
They do a song as class starts before they "warm up"...it is so cute watching 2 year olds trying to stretch!

Hailey is absolutely in LOVE with her little brother!! Even though we named him Matthew, she still calls him JJ since that has been his nickname since we found out he was a boy...she came into the hospital room so excited to see her little brother and he is the first person she asks for when she wakes up in the morning! Grandma and Grandpa Meier came to visit all the way from Colorado. Grandma flew out to Alabama on July 22nd to stay with Hailey when we went to the hospital and Grandpa drove down with Frank dog who stayed in Colorado during the move. It was so nice having them here!

Welcome Matthew Jameson Meier!

Matthew has finally arrived! I was convinced he was going to be born on Hailey's birthday, but in true Matthew fashion, he wanted his own day and decided he would be 3 days late. At least it was a fast delivery...so fast that we arrived at the hospital around 10:30pm and he was born at 11:21pm. The doctor was just coming into the room and the nurse actually delivered our little guy (o: Matthew weighed in at 7lb 10 ounces, 20 inches long. The exact weight Hailey was at birth Proud daddy spent some time with him as they warmed Matthew up and took his footprints
Happy mama...relieved that our precious boy is FINALLY here!!
